Things have picked-up pace on the signings front today with the official announcement of the arrival of Tomás Pina. Pina a central midfielder for Mallorca has signed a contract of 5 years.
The official website of the club chose a picture of Pina playing against Valencia in the announcement. Interesting choice to say the least :-). The 25 year old Pina has played 52 games for Mallorca B and 77 games for Mallorca in the last 4 seasons. 67 of them in the last 2 seasons for Mallorca. We will have more about Pina up on the site shortly.
Mariño sold to Real Valladolid with a buyback option
The club also officially announced the departure of Diego Mariño to Real Valladolid with a future option to buyback (and also apparently get a share of the transfer fee if he were to be sold to a different team, this is not explicitly stated but quoted by some of the local journos on twitter). This is a move made keeping in mind the career progression of Mariño. We all know he is a talented keeper and he needs to start at a Primera club. Once Juan Carlos made the job his after a few initial hiccups last season, something like this was always on the cards. Good luck Mariño! We hope he has great success at Valladolid (except against us).
