Villarreal's training continues as keeper search comes up empty

Not much going on as far as transfers are concerned, so let's review the upcoming schedule, shall we?

Julio Cesar--doesn't look like he is coming here.

Villarreal's preseason continues, though there are still some personnel issues to be worked out. EPM reports on cases to be resolved--Camuñas, Pedro Rios and Farinós--but there is still a search for a center back and keeper going on.

Andres Fernandez seems to have accepted he's not leaving Osasuna, as they want €9m for him, Willy Caballero doesn't seem available either. And Julio Cesar is ending up at Napoli, according to his agent.

I still think an experienced keeper like Javi Varas might be good, though I suppose I can see the attraction of a younger keeper such as Andrés. Just not sure where we go from here.

Gio dos Santos will be presented to the media and fans Thursday at El Madrigal, before training that day. The club is now training exclusively at the Sports City.

Here is the preseason schedule (all times Spain):

July 20 @ Gimnastic Tarragona 20.30

July 24 @ Herculés Alicante 21.00

July 27 @Brighton and Hove Albion (England) 20.30

July 31 vs Almería at La Manga Club, Murcia 21.00

Aug 3 vs Granada at La Manga Club, Murcia 20.00

Aug 8 14th annual Ceramica Trophy: Villarreal CF v Fiorentina at El Madrigal, 21.00

There should certainly be streams for the Ceramica Trophy match, and perhaps for the Brighton match as well. As for the others, it's hard to know, but we'll post them if we come across any.
