Villarreal handles Ponferradina 3-0 at El Madrigal

Jeremy Perbet is included again. Hernan Perez is still injured, so too Mellberg and now Javi Venta.

Villarreal squad:

Keepers: Juan Carlos, Diego Mariño.

Defenders: Mario, Dorado, Joan Oriol, Musacchio, Jaume Costa , Pablo Íñiguez.

Midfielders: Bruno, Marcos Senna, Farinós, Moi Gómez, Manu Trigueros, Juanma and Cani.

Strikers: Jonathan Pereira, Gerard Moreno and Jérémy Perbet.

Pubis injuries for Hernan Perez and Javi Venta rule them out, and the muscle tear (left quad) Mellberg picked up last match rules him out too.

As for Javier Aquiño, he just arrived so hasn't even practiced with the team yet, I don't believe.

Ponferradina: a streaky team this season, got off to a slow start but had a run of six wins in arow in November and December to move up the table. Last week's win against Girona was their first in five matches, though, and away from their little Toralin ground they have had only modest success. Brazilian Yuri has 11 goals in 21 games for them (after 24 in the Segunda B last year) and Mayór, a Spanish striker who has been with them a few years as well, has chipped in with five.

For what it's worth, Ponfe haven't drawn on the road all year; since we've only lost once at home all season, form favors a home win. We'll see. Or, perhaps I should say, we'll hear, as there is no TV for this one. I would enjoy taking a break from shoveling snow to hear a few goal celebrations from Javi Mata on Radio Vila-real! Endavant!

Endavant!!
