Some interesting stats compilations in the last week. Which player leads La Liga in fouls suffered against him? From the braying of the national media you'd think it had to be a Barca or Madrid player (Messi? Cristiano?) but no, it's our own Borja Valero (and those are only the fouls that have been called):
Borja 'recibe' más que Messi y Cristiano - Villarreal C.F.
And as for the other way....would you believe Marco Ruben has committed more fouls than Sergio Ramos? Yup, it's true:
Marco Ruben se sitúa entre los más 'leñeros' - Villarreal C.F.
The article attributes that to his "aggressiveness" but sometimes he just gets called because he's kinda tall and gangly, don't you think?
And finally, an article here about the players who have struggled to make a statistical impact in La Liga.

Amazingly enough, Jefferson Montero didn't have a shot last week against Malaga, so his season totals--1 goal in 46 shots, only 10 of which have been on target. Let's hope that goal tally doesn't budge this weekend.
