Thread: Elche - Villarreal

Villarreal visits Segunda side and local rivals Elche CF today for its last preseason friendly. The Trofeo Festa d'Elx is on the line, and Villarreal fans should get to see our loanees Juan Carlos and Nicki Bille Nielsen in action.

Juan Carlos Garrido brings a 21-man squad:

Goalkeepers: Diego López & César.
Defenders: Catalá, Oriol, Dervite, Musacchio, Gonzalo, Zapata, Mano & Mario.
Midfielders: Camuñas, Wakaso, Cani, Borja, Gullón, Bruno & Senna.
Strikers: Nilmar, Ruben, Gerard & Kike López.

Three notable absences: Giuseppe Rossi is on national team duty with Italy, Carlos Marchena is nicked up, and Ángel López is still in recovery. Hopefully the full squad is available by next Wednesday in Denmark.

On the flip side, tonight's match is a nice opportunity for Kike López. The ex-Salamanca striker should be very familiar with Elche and likely will face them twice more this season. The same goes for center back Dorian Dervite.

Finding a stream may be difficult, but the match should be available via Radio Nou. Endavant Villarreal!
