I can't wait until the Pyongyang propaganda machine gets hold of this.  North Korea, already eliminated from the 2014 World Cup, defeated Japan 1-0 today in the glorious People's Republic in a completely meaningless game before a resolutely partisan crowd (no cheering for the Japanese allowed).

But wait!  Was it meaningless?  In fact, the Unofficial Football World Championship was at stake, and so the proud holders of this unofficial, trophyless title are now North Korea!  Meaningless, I hear you say?  Hah!  The Chollima will "defend" the title against the mighty Persian Lion of Tajikistan on February 29 next year.  Mark your calendars.

Not only that, two other similar competitions have seen their holders change this week.  Nasazzi's Baton is now held by Denmark (how about that, Jens!!) who defeated Sweden and Finland in friendlies this week, and a late Kun Aguero goal has not only given Argentina a valuable victory in World Cup qualifying, it's given Argentina another unofficial honor, the Virtual World Championship!

Almost as much fun as our fantasy league, this is....
