Thread: Real Madrid - Villarreal

We all cower at the sight of Diego Lopez.

Two league leaders have just won in Vila-real. Now the shoe is effectively on the other foot.

Villarreal visits Real Madrid today at the Bernabéu, and even the most optimistic Submarino Amarillo fan cannot expect a result. We are playing poorly, have never won at the ground (0-3-9), and referee Pérez Lasa is even odds to send off a player in yellow (4 in 9 matches) and award the hosts a penalty (8 in 15 matches).

But here is the bright side: we have nothing to lose but our dignity. So let's see if the now-embattled Juan Carlos Garrido can rally the troops for a penultimate(?) stand in Madrid.

My expected XI (4-2-2-2): Diego López; Zapata, Gonzalo, Musacchio, Catalá; Bruno, Senna; Borja, Cani; Ruben, Rossi.

My over/under on home goals is 4. I want us to fight hard and for Cristiano Ronaldo not to get a hat-trick. Sadly, I am not sure either aim will be achieved. Try out some younger players, coach!

The match begins at 4 pm Eastern Time and airs on GolTV (US). A por todas, submarino!
