Villarreal are looking for anything positive coming off of the dismal showing against Athletic Bilbao, a match in which they were outplayed throughout the match. There is a touch of that good news: Marcos Senna will be available for Wednesday's Real Madrid matchup.
Unfortunately, the rest of the news is not so good. Ibagaza is out for a while with a hamstring injury, but the timeframe for his return won't be known until tests are completed tomorrow.
Nilmar and Fuster are both questionable for Pellegrini's return. Nilmar bruised his thigh, and Fuster got a bruise to the ribs. Both will be game time decisions on Wednesday.
Also on the injury report: Villarreal's ego, as they sit in 17th place after three matches, an amazing seven points off the pace of the league leaders. The season isn't over yet by any means, but giving yourself a long, long uphill battle is not really the best way to start up the season.
UPDATE: As Kenez noted, the team's website reports that Ariel Ibagaza will be out for 5-6 weeks with a muscle tear in his right leg. Quite a blow at a time when the team is highly dependent on El Cano.
