Notes: Jozy's Future?

I had been waiting to see what is going to happen with Jozy Altidore, now that he is with second division club Xerez. As it seems, nothing. Not only has Jozy not made it on the pitch for the Segunda leaders, he hasn't even made a call. With his lack of playing time, things are not looking good for next year. Might things be going south already? I hope not, but often times players are given very small windows to make their case.

Other notes:

  • Win coffee with Robert Pires!
  • Villarreal have fallen from 33rd to 38th in club world rankings. That, at the moment, is the least of my worries.
  • At least 1000 Espanyol fans will arrive in Vila-Real for Saturday's match. Espanyol is paying for their travel.
  • And as to Espanyol's injuries: good news for the Catalans. Midfielder Valdo returns after a month on the sidelines. Kameni and midfielder Rufete will also be ready to go.
