UPDATE: Here is the draw.

UPDATE 2: A bombshell: USA-England for the first time in a World Cup since the infamous 1950 upset.

UPDATE 3: Some immediate thoughts on the groups our players were drawn into-- the US, Italy, and Spain all did quite well. Uruguay and Brazil have some work to do. And poor North Korea: what a group after 44 years away from the World Cup. Consequently, Spain will have a very difficult 1/8 final match. On current form, I'm calling B the Group of Death, but there are good arguments to be made for D, A, and G.

Group A: South Africa, Mexico, Uruguay, France.

Group B: Argentina, South Korea, Nigeria, Greece.

Group C: England, USA, Algeria, Slovenia.

Group D: Germany, Australia, Ghana, Serbia.

Group E: Netherlands, Japan, Cameroon, Denmark.

Group F: Italy, New Zealand, Paraguay, Slovakia.

Group G: Brazil, North Korea, Cote d' Ivoire, Portugal.

Group H: Spain, Honduras, Chile, Switzerland.
