It is great to see Llorente off and running. His scoreless drought seems to be over and done with. Pairing him up with either Rossi or Nihat may finally give Villarreal the real 1- 2 punch that they have been looking for up front. I will post updates here as much as I can.
UPDATE: Heading into HT at 2-0. Eguren picked up a yellow in the one minute of added time.
Godin and Gonzalo picked up yellows in the second half. In the 62nd, Ibagaza comes on for Pires.
72nd: Nihat is replaced by Mati Fernandez.
No Rossi today. In the 85th, Bruno comes on for Senna, meaning Rossi will have to wait to open up his season until Sunday.
And Ibagaza picks up a yellow in the 90th, but Villarreal hangs on to win 2-0, and moves, at least temporarily, into first place in La Liga.
