One of the youth products in the current setup, 24 year old Bruno is entering into his second full season with the first team. Having made his debut in 2006, Bruno played for both the B team and the first team before finally completing the step up. Naturally a central midifelder Bruno was the choice to play alongside Senna for the first half of last season. The arrival of Sebastian Eguren in January began to limit his chances although he still racked up a good amount of appearances in the latter part. A very confident individual Bruno has a sweet left foot and is very well equipped to control the ball in the middle. However due to our shortage of left backs Pellegrini has been testing Bruno out in that position, it is safe to say that we are well covered. He has played very solidly even getting up to support the attacks and with Gonzalo and Godin inside him he has been well drilled defensively. He is looking forward to this years challenge and in my opinion is very well able for it.
