Was not able to catch the match yesterday between the Swiss and Turkey, but followed it online enough to know Turkey won with the winner at the death to keep alive realistic hopes to advance. As Kqql points out below, "Nihat had a good game vs Swiss Cheese." Everything I read about it seemed to say the same, and since I did not see the match, I will just put in these reviews:
Goal.com ratings: Nihat: 7.5 - A great ball into the box for the equaliser from the captain who was inches away from putting Turkey ahead in the second half.
Second article from goal.com: "With Emre Belozoglu out injured, Villarreal's Nihat stepped up as skipper and put in a strong performance. The forward showed determination along with the rest of his side to fight through the treacherous conditions, setting up the equaliser for substitute Semih Senturk...."
ESPNSoccernet: "Stand-in captain Nihat Kahveci was the engine for the Turks."
