Roig has stated that there are several players not needed by the club for next season but that they are 'muy importante' for the future. The players this relates to are :
- Mathias Vidangossy, Midfielder : Had two ineffective loan spells first at Almeria then at Audax Italiano back in Chile. Is not in Pellegrini's plans.
- Cesar Arzo, Centre Back: Spent the previous season at Real Murcia and is considering his options for next season.
- Marcos Garcia, Winger : Had a tough season at Recre where he failed to make any real impact on the side. Will need to improve next season.
- Jonathan Pereira, Striker : Enjoyed a good spell at second division side Racing Ferrol scoring 11 goals and recently signed a new contract. Recre are interested for next season.
- Leandro Somoza, Midfielder : Was loaned out to Betis with an option to purchase but made few appearances and Betis did not take up their option. Has stated that he wants to continue in Europe and not return to Velez in his homeland.
- Marco Ruben, Striker : Signed in the January transfer window Ruben was loaned directly out to Recre, he enjoyed a successful period in which he scored several goals including one against Barca. Real Vallodolid are rumoured to be interested in taking him on loan for next season.
- Leandro Sigali, Centre Back : Bought after the U-20 world cup the young Argentine was loaned back out to Lanus and I presume he will be staying there for the time being.
- Robert Flores, Winger : We are rumoured to be negotiating with River Plate (Uru) for the 22 year old with the plan to loan him directly out to Recre in similar fashion to how we dealt with Martin Caceres.
