According to AS and Marca Barca have had their first bid for Uruguayan defender Martin Caceres rejected. Roig has stated that Barca or any other club will have to pay his buyout clause if they wish to sign him. This stands at a hefty 20 million euros and Barca have supposedly balked at this. I would personally like to see him stay as he is a very talented individual, he can play at right back or in the centre and with the amount of games we have next season it will be good to have top class cover.
Speaking of top class, reports today suggest that Pascal Cygan has been officially let go! I wish him well.
