A reminder to all groguets that we don’t have much time between matches....Leganés, who defeated Celta 1-0 on Saturday, visit the Ceramica on Tuesday.
The visitors have injury woes of their own, with Nordin Amrabat (who helped spark their victory against us earlier this season), Mantovani and Szymanowski all out. However, Gabriel Pires, who was man of the match against us in December, returns from a yellow card.
Leganés don’t have a lot to play for—they’re pretty much guaranteed to finish somewhere between 10th and 15th—but with matches left against Depor, Levante, Betis, and Villarreal, they could have something to say about relegation places as well as Europa League qualification.
Their defense has given up the same number of goals as Villarreal (39), but they have only scored 27 to our 43. They’re similar to Espanyol statistically, take that how you will.
Villarreal have not yet announced their callup for the match but we know Jaume Costa is out (red card), Alvaro Gonzalez returns from his red card, probably no Bonera, certainly no Fornals or Bruno.
A Submarine win here is essential.
