La Liga side Villarreal are reportedly close to adding one of Chile's most promising defenders to their squad, as they close negotiations with Santiago Wanderers for Andres Robles.
Yellow Submarine youth supremo Antonio Cordon travelled to the South American nation at the weekend to follow up interest in the 17-year-old Santiago native, according to La Tercera.
The Spaniards have apparently already agreed terms with Robles, and the transfer could be announced officially in the coming days.
However, one of the stipulations that his club will put in place is that their youngster must stay at the Valparaiso outfit until the end of the 2012 season - moving to Europe in January of next year.
Robles made his Primera debut in October 2010 against Audax Italiano, at the tender age of 16. He has represented Chile at Under-15 and U-17 levels and was a member of a locally-based senior squad that took on Paraguay at the start of 2012, although the defender was not used by coach Claudio Borghi.
