Nilmar for Casemiro and cash--almost a done deal?
This is the translation of a blog devoted to Sao Paolo FC, that recaps an ESPN Radio report. If Casemiro is indeed on a plane to Spain, and Llaneza is in Brazil, it sure sounds like a deal is imminent.
If Villarreal does indeed receive €8M, and Casemiro's rights are valued at €10M, we don't do too badly on the sale.

Grab
that deal and get it signed before they change their mind! A step in the right direction. Nilmar has been a good player for us but he really does look like he has lost a step this season. Casemiro is very highly rated, especially in Italy so this would be a good signing.
my feeling entirely!!
which might be why right after I posted the fanshot, there was a tweet from a reporter in Brazil saying Sao Paolo don’t want to involve Casemiro in a sale.
No idea if there’s any truth to that. Marca certainly thinks a deal could happen tomorrow.
Endavant Villarreal!!
Javi Mata article in AS today

talks about the 2 players-for-Nilmar option.
Endavant Villarreal!!
Interesting but the timing is terrible
Wellington is a defensive midfielder and Casemiro a creative attacking player, but the time to bring in young players is in the summer. South American players especially need time to adjust to European football. Nilmar is a hopeless case, then? Seems to have sucked for nearly a year and no way out except to sell him back to a Brazilian club.
I don't think the timing's so bad
As long as we get a bit of attack help as well, I think the timing’s actually good.
Let’s face it: we’re bottom table. All we can do at this point is avoid relegation. And we should already have the talent on our roster to do that.
So why not bring in some new young players and let them have the rest of the year to prove themselves and develop further, before we try to choose a more consistent XI to make a run with next year?
aw come on, Jiwonsi
I mean, Tottenham are interested in Nilmar, so he can’t be that much of a hopeless case (grin)
