Podcast Special: Interview with Jonathan de Guzmán

We're really honored and pleased to present an interview with one of the newest Villarreal players, Canadian-born Jonathan de Guzmán.   We began by talking about Jonathan's entry into football, his move to the Netherlands at age 12, and his international experience with the Dutch U-21 and Olympic teams.

We also talked about his move to Mallorca last year and subsequent move to Villarreal, of course!  As well as what to look for in the season ahead, and of course, the Champions League game against Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

We thank Jonathan a lot for his precious time. We also thank Juan Anton de Salas of MyVillarreal.com, Hernán Sanz, the club's Head of Press Relations, and the club itself for granting us this kind of access.

And the most important advice to everyone

Pick him up. And drop Pedro Leon, if you have him. Notice he didn’t say to drop Borja. Diplomacy at work.

With Borja out

it did not not require a great deal of insight to suggest that De Guzmán will start.
Garrido now has the opportunity to bring in four players that did not figure on Saturday, Zapata, Catalá, Senna, and Nilmar. In addition four players that only played around half an hour Diego Lopez, De Guzmán, Cani, and Marco Ruben. Likely starting XI
D.López,
Mario,Zapata, Mussachio, Catalá,
Senna,Bruno,
D.Guzmán,Cani,
Rubén,& Rossi.

well, no, it didn't.

  Simply reporting it.
Do you really like Catalá ahead of Oriol? He hasn’t played much at all so far.

I was not having a dig at you.

Oriol is not in the squad, the alternative to Catalá could be Wakaso.

oh, that's OK.

I guess I missed that Oriol wasn’t included. So maybe you should have a dig at me!!
