Hi Villarreal USA,


I'm a University College Dublin (Ireland) supporter, who follows the Airtricity League Premier Division team (League of Ireland).  Everyone both at the club and the fans are looking forward to our International club friendly against the Yellow Submarine.

Aswell as UCD FANS, other Irish football fans will come out for this one and we have a large community of Spanish nationals learning the English Language during the summer, they'll be there too.

Tickets are reduced from a normal competitive game so that will encourage more again, it's going to be a festive atmosphere at the game.

We play from March to October in the top division in Republic of Ireland   Our players are made up of Students or ex-Students of the University.  We have a successful Scholarship scheme, based on USA models, which brings us some of the best young talent in the country.  Unfortunately, our squads last between three and four years before moving on to other Irish clubs or over to Britain. We just had an exodus during our close season last winter and lost 13 players, at least a 11 were considered first teamers.  So we build again and lie in eight out of ten clubs.

UCD AFC have a Premier Division game away against Dundalk FC (60 miles north of Dublin) today Friday 15th, so we have our excuses lined up already.
