Here is Villareal's transfer plan for 2011 in a nutshell: If the club can sell Cazorla or Rossi for €30 million, they will have enough cash to buy a dependable leftback (Canella, €6million), a good central defender (Zapata, €8 million), an overpriced box-to-box midfielder (Sandro, €10 million), and a versatile winger (Jeffren, €5 million). This is probably the minimum that should be bought, and in fact more will be needed as replacements for departing players.
Current squad: At the moment, new homes are being sought for Capdevila, Altidore, Matilla and Montero. Certain others (e.g. Oliva) may find themselves back in the B team. Senna may also be playing his football elsewhere unless a new deal can be made soon. Only a couple of players (e.g. Insa) have already been sold.
