Not sure if he is even still an option at this point, considering how seriously Villarreal are going after Nilmar, but Tottenham Hotspur's head coach Harry Redknapp has denied any knowledge of a bid by Tottenham for the services of Real Madrid's Alvaro Negredo.

On that subject, Pellegrini is apparently looking hard still at Santi Cazorla. With the right offer from the free-spending lillies (i.e., 30m+), the deal could happen, but would almost certainly involve Negredo coming over.

Nilmar is still an option, but Llaneza has returned from Brazil without completing the deal. Negotiations are ongoing, but apparently, if things are going to work out, it should be completed by Monday or Tuesday.
